The short version

What we never receive

  • Your photograph or camera feed
  • Any measurement the detector calculates
  • Your lip shape result
  • Any biometric template or face data
  • Anything you type into the measurement fields

What we may receive

  • Your email address, only if you subscribe
  • Standard server log data from the hosting provider
  • Whatever you choose to send us by email or WhatsApp

How the lip shape detector handles your image

It does not send your image anywhere. This is how it works technically, so you can verify the claim rather than trust it.

When you choose a photo or start the camera, the image is loaded into your browser. A face landmark model, also running in your browser, finds the points on your lip border. The ratios are calculated in your browser and the result is displayed in your browser. At no stage is the image, the landmark data or the result transmitted to this website.

Nothing is retained. The image exists in your browser’s memory only while the page is open, and is gone when you close or reload the tab. We hold no copy because we were never sent one.

One thing you should know: the first time you use the detector, your browser downloads the face landmark model and its supporting files from a public code delivery network. Like any request for a file, that reveals your IP address and browser details to the network provider. This is the same exposure as loading an image or a font from a CDN. Your photo is not part of that request and never travels in that direction.

If you would rather make no external request at all, use the Measurements tab. It needs no model file and no camera, and it is the most accurate of the three methods anyway.

Email notifications

If you enter your email address to be told about new guides, that address is passed to our email provider and used for one purpose: sending you a notification when a new guide is published.

It is not sold, rented, shared or used for advertising. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address. You can also ask us to delete it at any time by contacting us.

Provider details to be confirmed here once the email service is connected.

Cookies, logs and analytics

No advertising cookies, no ad networks, no affiliate tracking. The site carries no advertising of any kind, so there is nothing to profile you for.

WordPress and the hosting provider may set functional cookies and keep standard server logs, typically including IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. This is ordinary web-server behaviour and is used for security and troubleshooting.

Analytics in use, if any, to be named here.

Your rights over your data

Since the only thing we can hold is an email address you gave us, exercising these is straightforward.

Access
Ask what we hold about you. In practice this will be your email address and subscription date, or nothing at all.
Correction
Ask us to fix an address that is wrong.
Deletion
Ask us to remove your address. Unsubscribing does this, and you can also ask directly.
Objection
Tell us to stop using your address for notifications. We will.
Portability
Ask for a copy of what we hold in a readable format.
Complaint
If you think your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Email Media.finixiodigital@gmail.com or message +44 7577 509325 to exercise any of these.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. Because the detector sends nothing anywhere, a child using it transmits no data to us either. If you believe a child has given us an email address, tell us and it will be deleted.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, the review date at the top is updated and the change is noted. The on-device processing of your photograph is a design decision, not a preference, and any change to it would be stated prominently rather than buried in a revision.

This policy is written to be accurate and readable, not to serve as legal advice. If you need a policy that satisfies a specific regulation in your jurisdiction, have a lawyer review it.

Privacy questions

Does Lip Shape Chart upload my photo?

No. When you use the lip shape detector, the image is read by your own browser and every measurement runs on your device. The photo is never transmitted to this site, never stored, and never seen by anyone. There is no upload step to opt out of, because there is no upload.

What happens to my photo after I use the detector?

Nothing is kept. The image exists only in your browser’s memory while the page is open and is discarded when you close or reload the tab. There is no copy on any server because no copy was ever sent to one.

Does the detector use a third-party service?

It downloads a face landmark model file from a public code delivery network the first time you use it, the same way a page downloads an image or a font. That download reveals your IP address to the network provider, as any file request would. Your photo is not part of that request and never travels in that direction.

Do you use cookies or tracking?

The pages themselves set no cookies for advertising or profiling, and the site carries no ads and no affiliate tracking. WordPress and the hosting provider may set functional cookies and keep standard server logs. If any analytics is in use it is named in the policy on this page.

Do I need an account to use anything on this site?

No. There is no login, no registration and no profile. The only information you can voluntarily give the site is your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to new-guide notifications.
