These are medical, not cosmetic

- One side of your lip or face has changed recently, or changed suddenly
- Swelling, numbness or tingling in your lip or around your mouth
- A sore, ulcer, lump or patch that has not healed within about three weeks
- Bleeding, persistent cracking at the corners, or a change in colour or texture
- Difficulty moving your mouth, or drooping on one side

Limits of the lip shape detector
It is an estimate and it will sometimes be wrong. The tool locates your lip outline, corrects for head tilt, calculates five ratios and names the closest of nine cosmetic categories. It has no clinical function whatsoever.
Things that routinely change the result: head tilt, side lighting, smiling, a beauty filter, heavy lip liner, and low image quality. The manual millimetre mode avoids most of these and is the more reliable option.
The tool cannot detect swelling, lesions, medically caused asymmetry or any other clinical sign. A result from it says nothing about your health, in either direction.
Every measurement it uses is shown alongside the result so you can judge it for yourself rather than accepting a label.
Cosmetic procedures
Nothing here recommends, endorses or discourages any treatment. The filler section exists so you can understand the vocabulary before a consultation, not so you can choose a procedure from a web page.
Whether any injectable or surgical treatment is appropriate depends on your anatomy, your medical history and an in-person assessment. That assessment must come from a qualified, regulated practitioner. Regulation of aesthetic treatments differs substantially between countries, so check what registration your practitioner actually holds.

Accuracy, sources and external links
Figures quoted on this site come from published anthropometric and aesthetic-medicine literature. Those studies generally have modest sample sizes and results vary between populations, which is why numbers appear as ranges rather than single values. Treat them as orientation, not as measurements of record.
Where no reliable measurement exists, the site says so instead of estimating. Claims that circulate widely without a source, such as exact rarity percentages for lip shapes, are identified as unsupported.
